George E. Anderson, V
A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Ed’s parents and grandfather taught him at an early age the importance of treating everyone as if they were his own family. To this day, he adamantly believes that this fundamental value translates into every facet of life and serves him well with the practice of law.
Ed graduated high school from The McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee and went on to attend Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. While at Furman University, Ed immediately knew that he wanted to remain in South Carolina. He graduated cum laude with a double major in Political Science and History and received a minor in Film Studies. During his time there, he was also an active member of the Student Alumni Council and President of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Upon graduating from Furman, Ed attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he consistently made the Dean’s List. During his time in law school, Ed was a member of the ABA Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal and served as an Articles Editor during his third year of law school. Additionally, he received the CALI award in Advanced Family Law, worked as a law clerk at the law firm of Moore Taylor, P.A. in Columbia, South Carolina, and interned the Richland County Department of Social Services.
After he received his J.D. degree and Children’s Law Concentration in 2017 from the University of South Carolina School of Law, Ed joined McKinney, Tucker & Lemel. Ed’s main areas of practice are Family Law and Personal Injury.
Ed is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association and the Young Lawyer’s Division. Ed enjoys spending time with his family and wife Chelsea, playing golf, and watching his Atlanta Falcons. He also attends church at the St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
